Timber from an old TV stand became a bench with a simple black-pipe base.
After a resin pour, I wanted to avoid making dust in the same shop the next day. I moved to the garage and worked on a different project: repurposing timber from an old TV stand.
The Douglas-fir top sits on a base made from 1 1/4-inch black pipe. The original post records stainless hardware, a little quick-set epoxy reinforcement, and the choice of pipe for a minimal look.
The finished bench was added to inventory and offered for sale. The story combines reuse, a simple material palette, and choosing a job that could progress while another project cured.
Bench adaptation and making: Michael Pytlowany. The top reuses an existing piece of furniture.
Offered for sale is the status in the source; a completed sale is not documented here.
