An 11-inch table
This was one of two tables completed together in July 2020. At 11 inches across, it was larger than the 9-inch tops I had been making.
Keep both versions visible
The matte gold-and-maple piece is different from the glossy multicolor walnut piece beside it. The two belong to a series, not a single representative table.
Gold resin and figured maple
I designed and built this 11-inch martini table using spalted maple, gold epoxy, and a matte finish. It was completed alongside a glossier multicolor walnut table, but I wanted this version to keep a softer surface. The figured wood already had plenty going on, so the gold resin was there to work with it instead of covering it up. The paired photos show how different the two finishing choices became.
