Circular quarter-sawn oak coasters with a blue resin river.
This set uses round quarter-sawn oak pieces with a blue resin river. The original post credits other people for the color choices, and I used an oil finish to bring out the grain.
I made this coaster set from round pieces of quarter-sawn oak with a blue resin river. The circular shape changes how the river crosses the grain compared with the rectangular sets. Other people helped choose the colors, which is credited in the notes. I handled the fabrication and finished the oak with oil after bringing the resin and wood to the same surface.
Coaster fabrication: Michael Pytlowany. Color choices were collaborative, as acknowledged in the original post.
The historical caption reports glow powder too faint to photograph; no visible glow is claimed here.
