Working through the pattern

Small blocks create changes in color and grain across the face. The close-up makes the arrangement visible in a way that the earlier group photograph did not.

More than one stage

The accompanying August records include clamped assemblies and a board in use. Their exact one-to-one identity is not established, so this is a series record rather than an inflated count of separate boards.
